Accessibility

This website provides information about the apps by bitbeans. We voluntarily follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.

What we have implemented

• The pages can be used with a keyboard, and the focus is clearly visible.
• A “Skip to content” link leads straight to the main content.
• Images have text alternatives; screen readers skip purely decorative graphics.
• Text and controls have sufficient colour contrast.
• The pages can be read from a width of 320 pixels without scrolling the page sideways.
• Each page declares its language so that screen readers pronounce it correctly.
• No video or sound starts on its own.
• If your system asks for reduced motion, the pages do without animation.

Known limitations

• App screenshots show the apps as images. In the translated versions their text alternatives describe them only in general terms, such as “screenshot 1”; the captions and the text next to them explain the content.
• A test with screen readers such as NVDA, VoiceOver or TalkBack is still pending, especially for the interactive samples such as the Zitatknacker cryptogram and the Indizio case.
• We have not yet systematically tested 200 percent zoom or forced colours (high contrast mode).
• The App Store and Google Play buttons lead to pages by Apple and Google; their accessibility is outside our control.
• The apps themselves and their own websites are not covered by this page.

How we checked

This page is based on our own review on 23 September 2026 with the axe-core tool at widths of 320, 390 and 1280 pixels, plus manual spot checks. There has been no external audit.
