1. Provider and scope
The Oriveli app is provided by Christian Hermann & Martina Hermann GbR, An Rainen 3, 72525 Münsingen, Germany, email apps@bitbeans.de.
These terms apply to the use of the Oriveli app and to the “Oriveli Plus” subscription. Download and billing run through Apple’s App Store or Google Play; their terms apply in addition. Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies to purchases made in the App Store.
2. What Oriveli is – and what it is not
Oriveli is a journal for self-recorded observations. It helps you capture and organise symptoms, readings, medication, meals and notes, and turns them into a report that you share yourself.
Oriveli does not diagnose, does not recommend treatment, calculates no risk scores and is not a medical device. It does not replace medical advice, examination or treatment. Decisions about treatment or medication are made together with your doctor.
Oriveli is not an emergency service. For acute symptoms or in an emergency, contact a doctor or the emergency services – 112 in Germany and across the EU.
3. Minimum age
Oriveli is intended for people aged 18 and over. You confirm your age in the app before the first entry. Without that confirmation you cannot record health information.
4. Free use and Oriveli Plus
Without a subscription you get all modules, unlimited entries, history, charts, export, the encrypted backup, the basic PDF report, one reminder and a limited number of trial AI analyses.
Oriveli Plus adds a monthly allowance of AI analyses with an additional daily limit, saved report templates, saved period comparisons and several reminders. The Plus page in the app shows the current scope.
AI analyses are an optional extra. They require explicit consent and a confirmation for each request, produce only evidence-linked wording and no diagnosis. If the analysis is temporarily unavailable, the local features keep working.
5. Subscription, price, renewal and cancellation
Oriveli Plus is available as a monthly or yearly subscription. At launch the monthly plan costs €3.99 and the yearly plan €29.99 in Germany; in other countries the prices shown in the store apply. The price Apple or Google shows you before the purchase always prevails.
New subscribers can try the yearly plan free for 14 days. The trial is available once per store account; if you subscribe during the trial or do not cancel in time, it turns into the paid subscription.
The subscription renews automatically for the chosen term unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your store account on confirmation of the purchase, and renewals within the last 24 hours before the period ends.
You can cancel and manage the subscription only in the subscription settings of your Apple or Google account. We cannot cancel a subscription for you. After cancellation, Plus stays active until the end of the paid period; after that the free features remain available and your entries stay on the device unchanged.
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own rules. If a store confirms a refund, the Plus entitlement ends with the next check.
6. Right of withdrawal
Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal. The contracting party for the purchase is the respective store, so send a withdrawal to Apple or Google. Where performance begins immediately with your consent, the right of withdrawal can expire early.
7. Your data and your responsibility
Your entries are stored encrypted on your device. We have no access to them and can neither restore them nor reset a forgotten backup passphrase. Create backups regularly and keep the passphrase separately from the device.
The report and the CSV or text export leave the app’s encryption as soon as you share or save them. Check what they contain before sharing and pass them only to people who should receive them.
Values you import from Health Connect or Apple Health remain your own information; Oriveli does not check them for accuracy and does not reconcile them. Weather and pollen values are forecast and index values for an entire region, not a measurement at your location. Both are an aid to your own observation and not a basis for medical decisions.

8. Availability and changes
The local features work without an internet connection. Purchase, restoration and AI analysis require a connection to our backend and may be temporarily limited by maintenance, faults or third-party requirements. Weather and pollen values come from MET Norway and the German weather service; if those services fail or change their terms, the feature may be limited or discontinued.
We keep developing Oriveli and may change, add or discontinue features. We announce material changes to your disadvantage during a running subscription inside the app; you can then end the subscription in the store.
We may adjust these terms with effect for the future, for example when the legal situation changes or new features arrive. The current version is always on this page.
9. Licence
You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use Oriveli on the devices of your store account for your own purposes. The app, its content and its design remain protected by copyright. Resale, rental, circumvention of technical protection measures and reverse engineering beyond what the law allows are not permitted. Your own entries and reports belong to you.
10. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, for fraudulently concealed defects and under the German Product Liability Act.
For slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of material contractual obligations, that is, obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely; in that case liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Any further liability is excluded.
We cannot be responsible for decisions you take on the basis of your records or an AI wording; Oriveli does not replace medical advice. We are liable for data loss only within the limits above and only to the extent that the loss would also have occurred with proper backups.
11. Applicable law and contact
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.
